"McCain's 'Cunt' Remark to Wife Spells End of His Campaign,
says Truth About McCain Blog.
In his book The Real McCain, author Cliff Schecter claims that John McCain made extremely ugly remarks about his wife Cindy McCain during a tirade witnessed by three reporters. "At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, 'You're getting a little thin up there,'" Schechter writes. "McCain's face reddened, and he responded, 'At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.' McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days." DrudgeReport
who calls his wife a "cunt in public."
In the case of George Allen, it was his "macaca" remark that has been seen over 300,000 times on YouTube. At the time time the Washington Post said,
"In every losing electoral campaign, there is something the losing candidate says that crystalizes the public's conviction why the candidate ought not be elected."
The Truth About McCain blog predicts that John Sydney McCain's undoing result, above all, from John McCain's calling his wife a "cunt" in public, in front on reporters. He refuses to deny (and thereby confirms) that he did on video.
For voters, it shows he lacks the stability and self control to be president."
In his book The Real McCain, author Cliff Schecter claims that John McCain made extremely ugly remarks about his wife Cindy McCain during a tirade witnessed by three reporters and two aides. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days." DrudgeReportThe mainstream media has so far been reluctant to address the question, if only because their editorial standards forbid the use of the word "cunt" in print and require that the word be omitted if spoken during a broadcast. However, it is inevitable that the question will arise during presidential debates and in other forums.
Arguably, it is just as unacceptable for a public figure to to demean and degrade women in public, using unspeakable vulgarities based upon their gender, as it is to use such vulgarities to degrade Blacks based on their color. The election may well turn on the public's judgment of whether calling one's wife the "C" word in a public forum is as bad as calling a stranger the "N" word in public. And whether a candidate who uses either term can be elected president in the new millenium.
This is debate is already occuring in the blogosphere now and promises to dominate public debate during the rest of the presidential campaign.
